Following the 2023 Annual General Meeting the newly elected board of the Chamber of Commerce met on Friday March 10th. The meeting had a full agenda that included discussion about new member benefits, crime prevention and coming events.
The Chamber board will again be hosting the Chamber of Commerce Monster Parade as part of the Northwest Roundup and Exhibition. We will also be working with the Medical Professional Recruitment and Retention committee to bring the Valley Explorer Pass program to fruition for their needs and to benefit our area.
The board discussed ongoing work on crime prevention and looked forward to plans for a Community Patrol Vehicle as well as a dispatch system for volunteers who are in the community daily. The board discussed the proposed video surveillance system for high traffic areas and options to include COPP in the plans for a community watch program.
Membership renewals will be sent following the meeting and several board members will work to ensure every business is contacted.
